Effects of COVID-19 pandemic on festival celebrations and noise pollution levels

Abstract India is a country where every religion and community celebrates their culture. Festivals have an important role in Indian culture are celebrated whole-heartedly by the citizens. Most of these celebrations culminate to causing pollution especially noise due festivities rituals. One such festival Ganesh Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav which magnificently Maharashtra state India. In present study, levels during at famous pandals Mumbai city were monitored year 2020. Noise level data was analyzed based on indices as L 10 , 50 90 ( NP ) climate (NC). Comparison carried out for collected previous years 2018 2019. The witnessed simple celebration eco-friendly manner leading significant decrease CoVID-19 pandemic. pandemic situation eye-opener administration with demonstration reduction pollution.
